With Marshmallow Muff, Marissa Zappas once again takes familiar notes in an unexpected direction. Toasted marshmallow and graham cracker dust create a warm, comforting opening, but roasted orris, ambrette, and sandalwood quickly pull the fragrance away from a simple dessert accord. The sweetness remains present throughout, softened by powdery orris, smooth woods, and musk.
Despite its playful name, Marshmallow Muff feels more atmospheric than edible. Tonka, sandalwood, and musk add a subtle smokiness that balances the gourmand elements, creating a fragrance that is warm, textured, and quietly sensual without becoming overly sweet.
