Binet-Papillon
Binet-Papillon brings together a French perfume family with roots going back centuries and Papillon Rouge, the independent fragrance house founded by Virginie Choné. After working at Guerlain, Choné went on to create her own perfumes, collaborating with perfumer Jean Sauvage on fragrances that take classic materials in less expected directions.
The perfumes are made in Grasse with a high percentage of natural ingredients, but there’s nothing particularly traditional about the way they smell. Malt, smoked tea, coffee, flowers, woods, musk, and incense show up in combinations that can be surprising, comforting, or sometimes a little strange.
