Description
Cedrus by Chloé is a soft woody fragrance from the Atelier des Fleurs collection, built around cedar, sandalwood, and vetiver. Cardamom, bergamot, and pink pepper give the opening a fresh, lightly spicy lift, while rose and cassia bring warmth without making the fragrance feel overly floral.
Despite the name, Cedrus is not a dry or rugged cedar fragrance. The woods are smooth and slightly smoky, with a clean muskiness that keeps everything light. The rose stays quietly in the background, softening the cedar and giving the fragrance a gentle warmth.
Perfumer Quentin Bisch has evoked a familiar scent of wood and freshly cut stems, but there is something tender about it, too. This is a good choice for anyone who enjoys woody fragrances but finds traditional cedar scents too dry or heavy.
